• Conducting short term training programmes for technical teachers on topics of content updation and skill improvement.
• Conducting a four semester Post Graduate (M.Tech) course in Manufacturing Technology since 2003.
• Conducting researches in the field of manufacturing technology, primarily in industrial problems in consultation with industries.
• Offering continuing education programmes on advanced technology/management topics for working persons from industry.
• Organising skill/knowledge upgradation programmes for working persons from industry.
  

Three class rooms suitable for 20+ students with teaching aid facilities like OHP/Document visulaiser/Projector. The department has six laboratories/workshop:

• Heat Engines & Machine Tool: Experimental set-ups for IC Engines and Air-conditioning system, Common Machine Tools, Power Hydraulic Trainer, UTM etc.
• Measurement Laboratory: Tool Marker's Microscope, Hardness Tester, Surface Roughness Measurement, Coating Thickness Measurement and Vibration Measurement.
• Production Engineering Laboratory: EDM, TIG, MIG.
• Computer Applications & CNC Machine Laboratory: CAD station with AUTOCAD2000 software, CNC Trainer Lathe, CNC Milling machine, Misc. Software packages.
• Robotics Laboratory: FANUC Robot, Model-LR Mate 200 iB,6 Degree Freedom, Articulated.
• Automation Laboratory: Various Sensors, Transducers, Instruments & Control Units.

You might be knowing that we are going through several changes in our Institute and moving for all round growth and development. Our Institute is at present has campus-wide Wi-fi connections for all M.Tech students, STTP participants, staff and faculty members. We have installed several servers for various routine activities and going to establish state-of-art E-classrooms, High Performance Computer (HPC) lab, digital library etc. in near future. Our institute has also been augmented recently by some young and vibrant faculty members.

We are now having a working Training and Placement Cell for our M.Tech students. We have also decided to go for NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accreditation. Students Alumni Cell strive to create a platform for organizing the alumni events, connectivity and activities such as branding and fundraising.
